Namikoshi Shiatsu

Namikoshi Shiatsu

Shiatsu literally means “finger pressure”, or “accupuncture without needles”, or “accupressure”. It is performed with the client wearing light, comfortable clothing, on a futon-style mattress or low massage table. Sessions are 90 minutes.

Using thumbs, fingers and palms 330 pressure points are pressed over the whole body – top-to-toe, including each toe and finger tip- to stimulate flow of energy.

Shiatsu is a total body “tune up”. By restoring the body's equilibrium, regular sessions of Shiatsu may ease stress and stimulate the immune system.

It is extreme relaxation!!.

This style of shiatsu was developed by Tokujiro Namikoshi, founder of the Japan Shiatsu College
